عمل مشرفًا على مختبر الأنسجة النباتية، ورئيسًا لمشروع استنساخ النباتات المهددة بالانقراض في ليبيا، ومديرًا لمختبر الهندسة الوراثية خلال جائحة كورونا، حيث قام المختبر بتحليل أكثر من مليون اختبار COVID-19 باستخدام RT-PCR، واستخراج الحمض النووي DNA وRNA، بالإضافة إلى تدريس وتدريب أعضاء من مختلف أنحاء ليبيا على تقنيات Real-time PCR لتشخيص COVID-19.
