Dr. SALAH EDIN R. EL MESHRI is a Professor at Libyan Biotechnology Research
Centre (LBTRC), acting as Vice- General Director of LBTRC, Tripoli, Libya.
Ph.D. (Life Sciences: Virology: molecular and medical aspects) from Faculty of Pharmacy, Laboratory of Biophotonics and harmacology UMR 7213 CNRS, University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France, completed in June, 2015. Project:
The intracellular trafficking of HIV-1 Gag protein and the role of its NCp7 domain
M.Sc. (Microbiology) from EURAMA, France. (Jan, 2008 – July, 2008).
B.Sc. (Veterinary medicine) from Tripoli-Libya University.

Research Interests

• Molecular biology practices including primer design, cloning, protein over
expression and purification from bacterial strains using chromatography.
• Biochemical techniques like co-immunoprecipitation assays, Western Blotting,
Immununo-fluorscence, apoptotic assay, electroporation and worked with in
vitro human cell lines like Hela cells and 293T cells, worked on production of
pseudo- viruses.
• Techniques like Fluorescence spectroscopy, Fluorescence life-time imaging
(FLIM), UV-visible spectroscopy, Confocal microscopy, etc.
• Knowledge about software like Pymol, SPC Image J, Origin, fuji image j, etc.
• Research & development experience in the Microbiology (such as; Bacteria and
Virus).
• Professional experience in curriculum development, articulations, accreditation,
professional certification, and Training.
• Teaching experience in general Microbiology, Research Methodology,
Molecular Microbiology, Lab techniques.
