Career Path

 

Ms. Najia Sasi is a researcher at the Libyan Biotechnology Research Center. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in plant protection from the faculty of Agriculture, Tripoli University, Tripoli-Libya in 2000.and master’s degree in Biological Control in 2006.

She Najia began her research career in the Department of Plant Projects at the Agricultural Research Center from 2003 to 2004, then contributed to the National Project for Integrated Fruit Fly Control at the Libyan Biotechnology Research Center between 2004 and 2006. From 2007 to 2014, she worked in the Department of Medicinal Plants Research, followed by nearly a decade in the Cell and Tissue Culture Department from 2015 to 2024. Since May 2024, she has been conducting research in the Department of Environment and Food Sciences.

Her research interests are in the biological control of agricultural pests, and Studying the effects of medicinal plants and insecticides on fertility in laboratory experimental mice.
