Dr Eswayah is a Senior Researcher in Environmental Science at the Libyan Centre Biotechnology Research Centre (LBRC). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Sebha University (Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Engineering & Technology), Libya; his MSc in Environmental Management from Coventry University, UK; and his Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Sheffield Hallam University (Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre), UK. He worked as a research assistant at the Environmental Protection Research Group, Department of Isotopes Application, Tajoura Nuclear Research Centre (TNRC), and at the Environmental Protection and Waste Water Treatment Research Group, Biotechnology Research Centre (BTRC), both in Tripoli, Libya. In 2009, he was appointed head of the Research Group at BTRC. His research interests are in the bioremediation of metal, metalloid, and hydrocarbon pollution and trace element speciation. Dr Eswayah is currently head of the Department of Environmental and Food Sciences Research at LBRC.
